It's a great period of the year to reflect on the last 12 months of running, racing and keeping ourselves moving. As a Club, Witham Runners have competed in the Notts AAA & Lincolnshire Athletic Association Cross Country, and individually in races ranging from 5km to 100km Ultra Marathons and every distance in between.
It's great to report on a successful Club Vibe and our Runners have often shared lifts, supported runners, volunteered at Parkrun and train regularly with Lincoln Tri.
Some of the Highlights of the Calendar have included a very respectable 5th Place for the Mens Team at Race 4 of the Notts AAA Summer League and a great showing at all the Summer League Races by both the Men's' and Women's' Teams. We've seen great attendance from the club in the local Lincoln 10km, Woodhill Spa 10k, Bassingham Bash, London Marathon, Boston Marathon UK, Great North Run, Caistor Sting in the Tale, Newark Half Marathon, Race to the Stones Ultra Marathon and much more.
With the New Year ringing in, many of the members actively engaged in Parkrun this week, with many doing the Clumber Park / Newark double with runners and volunteers.
It's the last week of the Festive period and with that comes the thoughts of New Year Resolutions including trimming the waist line, getting fit, a few new PBs, running a New Race or just getting back into running and a running community.
Whatever it is, we're always open to new members and can be contacted at or search for us on our Facebook page.
