The support of the club can help you to achieve your running goals. To inspire you we asked members to describe their proudest running achievement

Jo

My proudest running achievement is definitely London marathon last year. Despite hitting the wall at about mile 20, then a issue with my IT band at mile 22, been overtaken by a walker at mile 24, I ran every single step of the way 😊

And raising over £2k for fertility network was an added bonus

Danny

Finishing the London Marathon hand in hand with Michelle and repeating the feat at the Liverpool Half marathon

London marathon last year and then running Edinburgh marathon the day after we got married Kerry Webb

I'm proud every time I see somebody in a Witham Runners top, because this group started as just a little buddy group in the village and look at us now. This photo was taken at one of the cross country meets last year and I love seeing the range of ages and abilities.

Paul - Finishing 5th in the world youth olympics at 1500m and captaining my university (Uni New Mexico) track and cross country teams.

Ann

Colwick AAA 5 mile race, sprinted the end, and knocked 4 mins of my PB..

I set myself a target of raising money for the Stroke Association and beating 3 hrs 45 minutes on the Edinburgh Marathon in 2013. Achieved this in just under 3 hrs 42 minutes even though my running vest looked like it had been attached by a vampire.

Completing my first ultra marathon in 2014. Carlisle to Newcastle in sub 18 hours. Couldn't have done it without the amazing support of my family at each pit stop #teamratnage
